THE MUSIC OF ROCK LEGEND BOB SEGER TO PLAY EXCLUSIVELY THROUGHOUT "COLD CASE" EPISODE AIRING
THIS SUNDAY, DECEMBER 13th at 9:00 P.M. ET/PT

Early Seger Vol. 1, A Collection Of Remastered Songs And
Four Previously Unreleased Tracks, Elicits Stellar Reviews

****Programming Note:  Please note the new COLD CASE Episode featuring the music of Bob Seger airing this Sunday, December 13th, on the CBS Television Network has been moved up one hour to 9:00 P.M. ET/PT.

In the episode, entitled "Iced," the team tries to determine who murdered a minor league ice hockey player on the memorable night that the U.S. hockey team beat the Soviet Union in the 1980 Olympics. Jude Ciccolella ("24") and Brian Scannell ("Brotherhood") guest star, respectively, as the 2009 and 1980 incarnations of the victim's team coach. "Bob Seger's raw, honest voice is so evocative of working class America that the idea for an episode centered around the Miracle on Ice seemed like the perfect showcase for his songs," said Taylor Elmore, who wrote this COLD CASE episode.

The featured Seger recordings are "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man," "Her Strut," "Rock and Roll Never Forgets," "Roll Me Away," "Night Moves," "Fire Down Below" and "Against the Wind."

In addition, Seger’s recent release, Early Seger Vol. 1, has received stellar reviews from critics and fans alike.

Early Seger Vol. 1 contains recently remastered versions of six classic Seger songs from the early 1970s and four previously unreleased recordings. In a four-star review, the Detroit Free Press said: “Vintage rock 'n' roll, barroom balladry and soulful Southern rock are delivered with equal aplomb…The melodic midtempo songs ‘Wildfire’ and ‘Days When the Rain Would Come’…hold their own against the best of Seger's majestic Midwest rock.“

Allmusic.com marveled: “it’s hard to complain with anything that gets his brilliant Chuck Berry homage ‘Get Out of Denver,’ clever interpretation of ‘Midnight Rider,’ and wickedly funny ‘U.M.C. (Upper Middle Class)’ back in circulation” while the Cleveland Scene observed:  “Ten tunes from the vaults of Michigan rock icon Bob Seger reaffirm the strength of classic rock 'n' roll. Such meat-and-potatoes music may have more staying power than Detroit, the city that made Seger, the Stooges and the Motown stable music icons.”

Early Seger Vol. 1 is available now at http://www.bobseger.com and through Meijer, the Grand Rapids, Mich-based retailer with 190 supercenters located in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Kentucky.
